OxSBP aims to help improve business productivity and competitiveness through resource efficiency and waste reduction and enhance the adoption of sustainable business practices.

A Sustainable Business is a successful and profitable business by continuously improving its productivity. This is achieved by taking action on the economic, social and environmental impacts of its business.

This means that a Sustainable Business takes a

  • sustainable approach to what it produces, how it buys and sells,
  • considers how it affects the environment
  • considers where it invests, how it recruits, trains and develops its own people
  • considers how it engages with the community in which it operates
  • considers how it respects the rights of people.
