Milton Park REC merges with Cherwell REC
Milton Park Resource Efficiency Club has reached the end of its funding under the BREW programme but several of the members are keen to continue. They have recognised the benefits of being part of a group: learning together, exchanging ideas, identifying common ground, solving each other’s problems. In other words, networking at its best.
Once the new Cherwell Resource Efficiency Club has completed its initial training, ex-MPA REC members will be joining in the fun at Banbury.
Resource Efficiency keeps growing
The Resource Efficiency Club supporting businesses centred on Milton Park in Abingdon is growing its area to help more organisations that want to save money on raw materials, utilities and waste. The Club will in future be known as the Oxfordshire Resource Efficiency Action Programme or REAP.
Membership of the club is free to all companies and benefits to members are:
- Cost savings - through reducing use of raw materials, minimising waste, reducing water consumption, improved process control, solvent reduction, reduced packaging and improving energy efficiency.
- Business opportunities - through interaction with other members, joint initiatives, signposting of support funding and favourable loans.
- Best practice - through improved awareness, consultancy support and ready access to information
- Training - opportunities to attend a range of workshops in the area of resource efficiency on such topics as waste minimisation, improved process control, water management, solvent management and improved energy efficiency
- Environmental improvements - through efficient use of resources, reduced waste, lower carbon emissions, reduced water and solvent consumption
The club is led by experienced consultants and comprises training workshops and a broad range of supplementary seminars. Companies interested in joining should contact Mick Lynn of Quarry House Management on 01580 201308 or mlynn@quarry-house.co.uk.
